I live in SF at the northernmost point.
I am slowly reading through Automata Studies and rereading Didion's Slouching Towards Bethlehem.
Recently, I made a polymarket clone with friends for TreeHacks 2026. I coded a simple operating system for the baremetal Raspberry Pi Zero in a mix of Haskell, C, and Assembly. I self-studied Online Algorithms.
I enjoy working with other people and want to do it more often. If any of these are interesting to you, I would love to cook with you.
past lives.
I have lived in Seattle WA, Palo Alto CA, Park City UT, Columbus OH, Hsinchu TW, and Oxford UK. I believe in psychogeography and I am blessed to have gotten to live so many places.
I have studied & worked on AI for Physics, AI for Math, Computational Algebraic Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Programming Languages. I hosted a Socratica node called [orchard] in Oxford and ran around barefoot in Cambridge teaching my friends Model Theory.
I am still a happy kid on the inside, and you should never forget it.

When I say survived by, I mean that these are the people that I live for. You all make me willing to climb mountains.

I particularly love reading combinatorics (discrete, probabilistic, analytic, algebraic, infinitary, entropic).
I love unsweetened soy milk and orange juice. I love simple poetry and imagistic poems, and letters.
I loved reading Ready Player One, Dune, The Martian, & Piranesi. I love reading Joan Didion. I loved watching The Green Knight, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I believe Fullmetal Alchemist to be one of the greatest works of the 21st century.

ending thoughts.
Minimizing the friction between a thought and expanding it is good. You should do spontaneous things, even (especially!) if they will be mediocre, because great things start slowly. I believe AI converts previously slow systems into tactile ones, and this is fun, but make sure to check yourself endlessly. Words are cheap and execution matters.
I believe there are 2 forms of beauty. The timeless kind, that of nature, the world around us, uncaring yet beautiful. Mathematics is timeless. The second form of beauty is that of the human project. Computer systems are part of the human project.
I will not live forever. But to increase the fruit for which others get to eat is a worthwhile goal in and of itself.
I am still terrified of going blind for I love to see the stars, sunsets, and my friends. I love citrus and eat the rind with a smile.
